The image quality of Lenovo LI2721s Wide may not be outstanding for demanding use like graphics design and serious photo editing, but it is great enough for general computing use. The 1920 x 1080 resolution is standard for its size, and it meets the Full HD requirements. Its strengths though lies in providing beautiful colors, bright picture, and clear texts, as it effectively shows the extreme differences between dark and light colors.

Impressive Sleek Bezel Design that Makes the Whole Thing Look Great

The ultra-thin and sleek bezel design of this Lenovo monitor makes it an ideal display for general use. It’s very pleasing to use and can fit most types of environment, even in swanky offices. Also, because its bezel is very thin, it’s a great choice for dual monitor or multiple monitor setups.

Solid Color and Image Performance for Better Overall Viewing Experience

It’s very capable of delivering accurate and rich colors. The mid-tier IPS panel scores well on its red and blue color accuracy as defined by the CIE (International Commission On Illumination), and though its green lies slightly outside of their zones (which is quite common in mid-tier IPS panels), it doesn’t result to green tinting or oversaturation of pictures.

Wide Viewing Angles that Lets You See Things on Screen Clearly Even at Extreme Angles

The IPS panel allows the monitor to be viewed in almost any angle without compromising display quality. Lenovo LI2721s Wide takes pride from its solid 178° viewing angle, making it a perfect display for general use, even for home entertainment.

Energy Efficient Big Display

Despite its 27 inch size, the Lenovo LI2721s Wide will not be a burden for your monthly electricity bill. Its efficient energy consumption scores only 35 watts, it’s not a lot but it is slightly less than most of its rivals in the market.  It is also Energy Star certified, which means you can depend on its efficiency. On its Stand by or Sleep mode, it consumes only 0.5 watt.

Design is the strongest selling point of this monitor; as a matter of fact many experts rate this display with 5-stars in this aspect. The Lenovo LI2721s is designed to impress, and this is evident from its thin glossy cabinet down to boomerang-shaped stand. And it effectively combines the durable glass screen with super thin bezel, making the monitor look almost borderless, while keeping the display profile thin. It uses the same style of bezel as AOC i2757fh and HP Pavilion 27xi. The center lower part of the 1.3in glossy panel is a shining silver brand logo of Lenovo.

The rear part of the cabinet houses the HDMI, DVI and VGA video inputs, pretty much the basic connectivity options you will need in almost all types of use. The LI2721s doesn’t come with speakers, but users can always hook up external speakers using the audio output jack (when used with an HDMI signal).  The monitor can be hooked up to different gaming consoles and other multimedia devices.

Nicely Designed Touch Button Options and Controls

Lenovo LI2721s’ buttons are nicely designed to fit the build of the monitor, both aesthetic wise and function wise. The touch buttons make an audible beep sound when pressed. Aside from the menu buttons, users also get input select and auto adjust buttons, the DDC-CI (Display Data Channel-Command Interface) button, and a Novo Vision button. The latter is Lenovo’s version of Picture Preset, which includes very convenient presets like Web, Video, Text and Split-Screen Viewing modes. Bottom Line

(image from Amazon)

There are so many great things this Lenovo monitor can offer, from sleek bezel-less design, ultra-wide viewing angle, and solid color and grayscale performance, it almost feels like a bargain for its price.

There’s nothing much to complain about the Lenovo LI2721s Wide monitor, besides, it doesn’t claim to be perfect for demanding tasks. One of its weaknesses is its relatively slow Response Time, which scores at 14 milliseconds (gray to gray). Though this can be enough for most use, like watching action movies, it’s far from ideal for fast frame rate gaming. Fast-paced games like racing games may feel a little off, though it’s a minor flaw, and can still make most gameplays enjoyable. If you’re a hardcore gaming fan, then you can opt for models with faster response time (5ms or less), such as the BenQ XL2720T, which boasts 1ms, of course this feature comes with a hefty price tag.

Another limitation of this monitor lies on its stand. The aesthetically pleasing stand, it limits the screen from tilting.

All in all, the Lenovo LI2721s Wide is an impressive monitor in many different areas. Its 27 inch size provides solid viewing performance in terms of color accuracy and reproduction, while its wide viewing angle ensures everyone inside a room gets a clear view of the things happening on its screen.
