The crank control system that Halter table top sit-stand desk uses allows easy and quick transitions from sitting to standing position, and vice versa. All users need to do is turn the crank to the right or left to adjust the height of the table to their desired setting.

It can sit on top of almost any table, adding 1 3/8 inch of height to the desk when folded flat. When cranked and raised, it can provide a height adjustment of up to 13 inches. The height adjustment is easy and smooth, with not a lot of resistance, making the crank system easy to turn.

Halter made sure this desktop riser can fit and work with in almost any office and workstations, which is why they used a universal size for both of its footprint and desk surface. Simply place the desktop riser on top of your existing desk, place your laptop or monitor and its keyboard and mouse on top of the desk surface and you are all set!


Solidly Built, Sturdy Even at Standing Height

The tabletop is 47 x 23.5 inches, which large enough for most types of computer use, with the monitor or laptop, keyboard and mouse; it can even accommodate dual monitors setup. It weighs 35 lbs., which is a little heavier than many of its competitors, but the heavy construction gives you an idea of its solid and sturdy build.

The desk is made up of laminated covered wood, and comes with wood-like finish pattern. It’s not the most beautiful finish, but it’s definitely practical.

The crank system is operated by a provided handle, which can be inserted on either side of the table.

The spacious leg room requires at least 47 inches, quite a wide support. This allows the desk to extend easily, while still providing stable support.

It can carry a maximum load of up to 44 lbs., and can re-adjust height even with your stuff on top. Thanks to the heavy-duty metal crank system.

The Halter table top sit-stand desk is a simple and straightforward adjustable height desk that gets the job done. It doesn’t come with fancy features, but it offers quite a convenient way to improve your existing desk; it helps its users to stand more often, and sit whenever they feel like. Thanks to the easy crank system, users can easily adjust and re-adjust the height of their desk whenever they like.

Construction wise, Halter table top sit-stand desk feels sturdy and works quite well. The Halter table top sit-stand desk is made with high quality components combined with well-engineered design, giving the whole structure sturdy and solid feel, even when set at its highest standing setting.


One of its biggest selling points is obviously, its price. It’s fairly reasonable, considering the things it can offer.

As with other mid-tier products, there are also some drawbacks in Halter table top sit-stand deskFor one, the crank system is not fast enough in adjusting the height of the desk. Which means it may take some time to get to your desired height. Also, the crank tool is removable, which means you should always keep it nearby, or put it inside your drawer, so you can’t lose it. Also, you need to remove the crank, as it gets in the way.

Despite these minor issues, Halter table top sit-stand desk is still a pretty excellent desktop riser.  It raises and lowers easily, it has the same size as most wooden desktop, allowing you to put your computer and all the stuff you need at arm’s reach, such as your smartphone, coffee cup, document, etc., along with the keyboard and mouse.
