The 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio is a quite a good development from what we had (1920 x 1080 resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio), and its paying dividends in terms of giving users the best of both worlds: sleek style and more screen real estate to work on.

Dell U2415 lets you work, play, stream videos and watch movies in best light and nearly seamless viewing, as it features the world’s slimmest border at 6.9mm. It’s a perfect screen for dual monitor and multiple monitor display setup. Owners of this monitor can easily make multiple-monitor arrangement with near continual imagery across screens through DisplayPort 1.2 (MST) connectivity.

Clean and Crisp Image Quality with Consistent Color Accuracy Right Out of the Box

The U2415’s impressive all-around performance is attributed to its screen and image quality. The IPS panel works at 1920 x 1200 resolution, with 60Hz refresh rate and a standard gamut WLED backlight with a specified 99% sRGB coverage. The consistent out-of-the-box color of U2415 is factory tuned at 99% sRGB coverage at a deltaE < 3.

Also, rather than using the standard PWM regulation, the backlight of this product uses DC dimming, resulting to ‘flicker-free’ performance.

Clearer and Sharper Picture with Great Brightness Range and Anti-Glare Surface

Another reason that can be attributed to the impressive all-around performance of this display is from the type of panel Dell used for this monitor. The panel is a variant of Dell LM240WU, with a light matte angti-glare coating that keeps the screen clear and free of glares and reflections when used in highly lit rooms and environment. The monitor works with a specified typical maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² and minimum of 50cd/m².

Decent Response Time Performance with Adjustable Grey-to-Grey Acceleration

This monitor features an adjustable grey to grey acceleration feature, a feature present in many of its products in the series that should not be taken for granted. Its ‘Fast mode’ has a 6ms grey to grey response time, while ‘Normal mode’ runs at 8ms. You should also note that these values are the more realistic representation of response time, far more reliable than the values cherry-picked and provided by most manufacturers.
