Who is it for?

AOC U3277PWQU is for people looking for a large 4K UHD monitor with superb pixel density and with the true Ultra-HD feel. This 32-inch monitor boasts tons of things, especially in terms of visual experience. Perfect solution for business setups, especially people who mostly work on documents and spreadsheets.

AOC U3277PWQU is as good as it gets – the huge screen size perfectly utilizes Ultra HD 4K resolution, giving users the best viewing experience.

Superb Viewing Experience Through High Pixel Density from UHD

This AOC monitor features class-professional, high quality, non-glare screen that doesn’t shy away in putting up ultra-high definition resolution, allowing users to see more from their screen at a time. The 32-inch screen is maximized with the UHD (3840x2160p), giving four times the resolution of Full HD (which is only at 1920x1080p) for sharper and more brilliant images. That’s crisp image in ultra HD for beautiful photos, design, or just overall productivity.

Good Out-of-the-Box Viewing Experience

Also, AOC is one of the very few vendors out there that offers colour uniformity data sheet at shipment. For those who don’t know, it’s a document which details the metrics associated with the monitor; including brightness uniformity, gamma, sRGB, and average Delta E – the last two are arcane measurements which are usually only used with monitor readings. For out of the box quality, the monitor should have no problems delivering consistent and decent viewing experience.

The brand also claims this product can deliver 95% NTSC and 100% sRGB gamuts. There’s the 10-bit colour that makes more than 1 billion colours.

For the color quality itself, the monitor shows accurate and realistic colors.

Response Time is at 4ms, a respectable digit considering this monitor’s big screen is not meant for gaming. Fast enough to run games without ghosting, flickering or ghost bleeding.

VA Panel for Wider Viewing Angle

Pitched as a premium 4K monitor, AOC U3277PWQU comes equipped with an AMVA panel, which is different from its smaller sibling AOC U2777PQWU which uses IPS panel. The former is obviously the superior technology, but the VA panel from this AOC monitor also has some pretty excellent qualities that you would most definitely want for a 32-inch screen.

For one, it has an excellent viewing angle; picture remains the consistent and colors maintain their vibrancy from all viewing positions.

Treat Your Eyes with Over 1 Billion Colors

AOC U3277PWQU (image from Amazon)

The 10-bit panel equipped in this AOC display boasts 1.07 billion colors. It does so by using its FRC (Frame-Rate-Control) technology, a feature that greatly enhances colors depth of the 8-bit panel and boost the standard 16.7 million colors found in most monitors in the market today to 1.07 billion. More colors means more color depth, richer colors and more vivid images for the screen for your eyes.

With Flicker-Free Technology to take Care of Your Eyes

AOC U3277PWQU (image from Amazon)

The standard LED backlight monitors adjust brightness using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This results to flickers. The human eye may hardly notice the flicker, but can easily cause discomfort in long period of time. This is why the AOC U3277PWQU is equipped with DC (Direct Current) backlight system which eliminates the flicker and provides more comfortable and healthy viewing to take care of users’ eyes.

With Built-In 3W Speakers for Convenience

The 32-inch monitor can be too much for most work setups. AOC knows this, which is why they included a decent pair of 3W speakers in this monitor, since most users will not have the ample space to accommodate external speakers with a monitor of this size. The monitors are again, decent, with basic sound quality. Not particularly good, but they’re pretty convenient for everyday computing, even loud enough for entertainment and some games.

Dual Monitor and Multiple Monitor Setup Options

It is extremely difficult to find a stand or mount that can support dual monitor setup for 32-inch monitors. Besides, they're actually an alternative for such setup. But if you're looking to mount this display to your wall, then you definitely have a couple of good options.

Ergotron Interactive Arm, VHD (image from Amazon)

One good example is the Interactive Arm, VHD from Ergotron. This wall mount can support screens ranging from 30-inch to 60-inch in size and weight of 35 lbs. to 70 lbs. It is fully adjustable, allowing you to swing, lift and turn your display to any direction, and make the screen look like it’s floating in the air. This monitor lets users move their monitor or TV into multiple positions with one simple touch; no more sore necks and caused by awkward angles.

Design and Features

AOC U3277PWQU (image from Amazon)

AOC U3277PWQU sports a smart homey look. The bezels may be thick (measuring around 20mm or 0.79 inches) at the top and sides, while the bottom is slightly thicker (26mm or 1.02 inches), but it still looks sharp and stylish. The bottom bezel is coated with a brushed metallic finish, giving the monitor a premium look and feel. We call this monitor 32-inch, but in reality, it is only 31.5 inches due to its thick bezels. The screen itself comes with a light matte antiglare coating to battle lights and glares in a highly lit room.

Looking from the side of the monitor cabinet, one can see the product is reasonably thin towards the edges (about 24mm or 0.94 inches) and bulks at the center where the stand is attached.

The backside of the monitor sports a black plastic with foil finish. With the exception of matte silver plastic on both the stand’s base and neck that sports matte silver plastic.

The K-slot is located at the bottom right of the screen, while the bottom of the neck stand also features a small     cable DIY-management feature to help keep your workstation tidy and free of cable-clutter.

Buttons and Controls

The OSD (on-screen display) is accessed through the pressable buttons located on the underside of the bottom bezel, to the right. There’s a tiny forward-facing LED that lights blue when the monitor is on, red when it’s in low power state (no signal). If you turn off the monitor, technicality the monitor would be on standby and the light will also be off.

The ports are all strategically located on the backside of the monitor, and they’re all downward-facing, meaning, they’re easy and convenient to use for almost any type of monitor mounting, especially for wall mount setup. To the left of the stand is the power input (internal power converter) and a 0-watt power switch to shut the monitor off completely. To the right are the remaining ports, which includes Dual-Link, HDMI 2.0 (with MHL), DVI, DP 1.2, VGA 3.5mm and an audio input as well as 3.5mm headphone jack.

The right hand side of the cabinet also houses the USB ports for the monitor. There are a couple of USB 3.0 ports and another two USB 3.0 ports (plus stream). The USB 3.0 ports are labeled with color blue, while the USB 3.0 port with fast-charging capability is labeled with a yellow color. The USB 2.0 ports on the other hand are labeled black.

Fully Adjustable Stand for Ergonomics, Plus VESA Compatibility

AOC U3277PWQU (image from Amazon)

A monitor of this size indeed, should have ergonomics features, as it can be quite difficult for users to position, reposition and setup this screen on the desk. Fortunately though, this monitor comes equipped with all possible ergonomic adjustments, from tilt, swivel, height adjustment, and pivot, giving users all the flexibility they need to work comfortably.

AOC U3277PWQU (image from Amazon)

Aside from the flexible adjustability, AOC U3277PWQU also comes with a beautiful and stylish stand. The neck and joint of the stand may not as solid as other fully adjustable monitors, but it’s good enough to hold the large screen and keep it from wobbling. Total monitor depth including the stand is at around 290mm (11.42 inches) with the screen pretty much in-line with the front edge of the base. This means the screen is closer to your eyes than you may think. So if you have extra space on your desk, you might want to push the monitor a little farther from your eyes.

The lowest height adjustment has a clearing of around 48mm or 1.89 inches, with the top edge at 487mm or 19.17 inches off the desk surface.

Should you wish to mouth the 23-inch screen on a larger monitor mount or monitor arm with wide range of adjustability, or have it mounted on your wall, then simply remove the stand from the backside of the monitor and use the 100x100mm VESA mounting holes. Simply unscrew the stand to reveal the VESA holes.

Tech Specs

Bottom Line

The competition for its price is almost non-existent. Though there are tons of 4K monitors out there, they’re mostly smaller, usually around 27 and 28 inches. And though the extra few inches on the diagonal may not sound a lot, it provides substantial difference.

If you’re considering of getting another 32-inch monitor with a 4K resolution, then this monitor should definitely be on you top choices. It is however, important to note that its predecessor U3277PWU (notice the ‘W’) is a real 32-inch monitor using IPS panel. It translates to lower contrast ratio (rated 1000:1) with a slightly lower price tag.

For businesses however, especially those who work on financial services and uses word documents and spreadsheet files, the AOC U3277PWQU is undoubtedly a good choice. It provides massive screen real-estate which can easily replace two or three full HD monitors on your desk.

Plus, it comes equipped with a plethora of connectors that lets you hook the massive screen with several devices and let you multi-task several contents. Note that only HDMI and DisplayPort can keep the 4K resolution though.
